Fashion Photography Poster

Sophisticated teenage room? 14, need new, fresh ideas! Please help me out?

I am 14 years old. I have changed my room theme many times this year. But I want to decide on one that will last a while. I already have a bed, a couch with a matching chair, coffee table, dressers for clothes, night stand, and a desk. The wall color is a dark tan, and I’d rather not paint over that or the furniture. My room is a lot bigger than most, considering I am in the bonus room.
A few things I love: Photography. Lomography. Romance. The Muppets. Scooby Doo. Fashion. Music.
A few things I hate: Polka dots or any other childish pattern. Tacky posters not framed. Really bright pink.
Colors I like: Gold, Maroon, Teal, Violet, White, Black, and other mature deep colors.
I want a sophisticated-type room.
I want something unique that no one else would have.
Pictures would be very helpful. And much detail would be very appreciated. Keep in mind, I am not rich or anything. So please let it be reasonable and not totally outrageous.

how about changing the bedding? you mentioned you liked teal; try putting a lovely teal comfortor on your bed, and painting the skirting boards teal, as well as replacing the curtains.

you could also paint little motifs, slogans, words, images, on the walls in a colour of your choice to make a feature wall. but if you don’t want to paint at all, don’t worry!

you can still make a feature wall. you mentioned you like fashion and photography, like me! what i’ve done is a feature wall, covered in collage. i’ve chosen my favourite images from fashion magazines, and plastered them all over my bedroom wall as well as adding a few larger canvas images. it looks really sophisticated, beautiful and unique. plus, if you get board of it, you can just change the pictures!

its really easy to just change your bedding, your curtains, maybe add a rug and a new lampshade.
try to stick to dark tan with a really sophisticated colour that you know you won’t grow out of, like teal. avoid pinks and purples, since you can outgrow these really quickly!
