Photography Editing Software
What is the best photo editing software for Students?
I’ll be buying a Macbook soon, and I am really interested in photography and editing. I need a program that is easy to use, and not loads of money. I take a class at school using Adobe Photoshop, and I sort of like that except it might be a bit too advanced for what I want to use it for, and I know it is quite pricey. Give me the name of the software, the approximate price, and why you like it. Thanks. 
I’ve been using the Gnome Image Manipulation Program (typically called GIMP) for my image editing needs, and it’s a great application. It has most, if not all of the tools available in programs like Adobe Photoshop (there’s even a version called GIMPShop, which is GIMP with a skin to give a Photoshop feel). Best part is, it’s free/open source software! It’s also available for many different platforms: MacOS, Linux, and Windows.
